Besides traditional ideology, sexism, and gender chauvinism, the level of homophobia in society is to some extent stipulated by biased and incomplete information. Information provided by media is often incompetent and promotes strengthening of homophobic and sexist stereotypes. In contrast of negative stereotypes and clichés replicated by media, we, basically, have no opportunity to represent ourselves personally and talk about topics relevant to us.
Quarterly magazine "Me" is the first periodical in Georgia pertaining to LGBT issues. Along with increasing self-esteem and civil activeness of the group, one of the main objectives of this publication is to challenge myths and stereotypes spread in society.
Editorial staff of the magazine is pleased to co-operate with all, who supports LGBT movement in Georgia.
